FIRST RISE SPEAKER ANNOUNCED

It’s happening!

12th May 2022
Royal Horticultural Hall, London.
9am - 5pm

We are back and we are bigger! And in REAL life! And, over the next few weeks, we'll be announcing the line-up of line-ups. RISE 2022 is community-led and for the next generation of the community's creative talent. Yes, we believe we're now at 24% for female creative directors (data to come from LinkedIn). There is significant work to do to achieve gender parity at leadership level, specifically across intersectional lines. We know of just three Muslim creative directors within agencies. All change-makers are welcome.

RISE 2022 is a top-down, grass-roots up cyclical movement to clear the pathways to leadership. This way ALL voices can influence culture, creative, campaigns and communities.

For now, we're releasing the name of our first speaker:

RENI EDDO-LODGE

This year we welcome an award winning journalist, podcaster and author of the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller:
'Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race'.

WHAT MORE TO EXPECT

THEMES FOR THIS YEAR:

  • Who is present, who centred, how is marketing perceived? We kick off with understanding blindspots, #theGreatResignation, gaps and opportunities

  • What’s working in the ‘work’? Where is fresh ‘creativity’ coming from? A purpose-driven creative showcase with the 'why' and the 'how'

  • How can we work with products/clients to shape change? A panel with top-level marketing leaders from across the sector

  • What needs to change in culture? We explore the 'prove it again' bias along with inclusive behaviours

  • What needs to change in the hiring process? Let's talk salary inflation: what does the pay gap look like?

  • What does deep systematic change look like? Real progress is an every day action. Where is your company at?
