Google Career Certificate Scholarship Programme

Creative Equals has partnered with Google to provide access to flexible online training for those looking to add recognised credentials and additional skills to their CV. Maybe you’re looking to upskill, perhaps you’re interested in exploring other industries, wanting to reskill and pivot within your career.

This programme provides access to training programmes with coursera.org so you can earn job-ready skills in high-growth, high-demand employment areas such as UX Design, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, Project Management, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, IT Support, Advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and IT Automation with Python.


Applications for the supportive programme (with mentorship, cohort,
support and events) are now closed.
However, we have a limited number of
unsupported scholarships for Google’s Career Certificates still available.

An unsupported scholarship includes access to the Coursera Platform and the Google course of your choice (from one of the 9 available courses: UX Design, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, Project Management, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity IT Support, Advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and IT Automation with Python).

To be eligible for an unsupported scholarship, you will need to:

  • Provide your own computer equipment with internet access

  • Be UK based

  • Provide proof of ID (to use the coursera platform and for the certificate to be issued)

  • Have the capacity to complete your chosen certificate (which, at approximately 10 hours a week, is expected to take up to 6 months).

the programme

This programme will run virtually over a 6 month period, with the space for 10-15. The cohort will be provided with:

  • A scholarship to a Google Career Certificate self-paced course of their choice, on the online coursea.org platform, in one of nine areas:
    UX Design, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, Project Management, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, IT Support, Advanced Data Analytics, Business
    Intelligence and IT Automation with Python

  • Virtual mentorship, from Google mentors in the subject area related to your course choice.

  • Additional programme support, check ins and technical assistance throughout the programme.

  • A cohort whats app group of peers

  • A kick-off event to start the programme and a celebration event to high five your success!

  • Programme costs are covered with a scholarship.

No university degree or relevant experience is needed to do this. All courses are offered in easy-to-follow language, and additional resources provided for further understanding. Each certificate is designed so you engage with a series of videos, readings, hands-on activities, and quizzes - and, if completed successfully, you will build a portfolio from real world scenarios, learn new skills and have recognised credentials in the course of your choice.

Courses are completely online, and self-paced.

commitment required

  • You must be UK Based

  • That you commit to completing your chosen course, and have the capacity for a time commitment of approximately 10 hours a week, across the period of your course, until completion (around 6 months or so).

  • Meet with mentors/accountability and support team fortnightly.

  • Be able to attend the kick off/celebration events, in a London location. (Depending on your circumstances, allowances will be made for a virtual connection)

  • Provide a mini essay (400 words) on the completion of your course about the impact it’s had.

  • Be willing to share your image, name and any quotes as part of a marketing campaign (and if selected, be willing to share your story with media outlets)

  • You must have computer equipment in place to be able to complete the course virtually.

  • Reliable internet access

  • Are UK based

  • The ability to work independently with English language course content
