#AdlandCommits
Has #AdlandCommits moved the industry forwards? The results are in. On October 6, at the start of Black History Month, with Minister Nadhim Zahawi, we launched our first report on the progress made since the tragic murder of George Floyd by the signatories of #AdlandCommits. Working in collaboration with our partners, we bring you what's changed.
COVID 19 is not the leveller it was claimed to be.
We know Covid discriminates and the implications of this could set-back the diversity story for the industry for years. We’ve seen this in society with the disproportionate amount of Black, Asian and multi-ethnic deaths - particularly amongst frontline key workers. In our sector, we hear of working mothers who have no choice but to request furlough due to childcare, older workers who are side lined due to ageism and of entry level Black, Asian and multi-ethnic talent schemes that have been paused.
Creative Equals and Campaign launched a new survey to monitor the impact on diversity from covid-19 restructuring.

Havas London’s guide to speaking out about problematic behaviour
We know discrimination happens internally and with clients. It’s time to challenge the status quo.
This Policy empowers employees to ‘pause’ an uncomfortable or problematic encounter before a number of potential next steps are taken, cover ‘any exchange where behaviour is shown or something is said or implied (including microaggressions) that is deemed prejudiced, discriminatory, derogatory or negative toward any one person or more’. This includes internal exchanges as well as those with clients and suppliers.
